Outreach
& Engagement
Outreach provides us with the opportunity to engage with people experiencing homelessness where they are – often the first step in the journey to housing. Our ever-growing Outreach Teams across the County, from Malibu to Skid Row, bring integrated, multi-disciplinary services to engage and address our clients’ unique needs.
Clients moved into permanent housing through Inside Safe, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass' initiative which addresses street encampments and promotes long-term housing stability for people experiencing homelessness.

In addition to outreach, our Annenberg Access Center in Santa Monica provides a safe and welcoming environment for our vulnerable neighbors. The Annenberg Access Center offers meals, wellness activities, case management, and access to showers, laundry and lockers through the SHWASHLOCK program so that participants can meet their hygiene needs. Through our partnership with Venice Family Clinic, we also provide on-site primary medical care.

Pets’ Landing is poised to help pet parents provide for their furry family members as they tackle their own challenges of poor health, mental illness, lack of affordable housing, domestic violence, unemployment, low wages, poverty and drug addiction, which can often limit their access to a sheltered bed and place that will accept animals.
The Mollie Lowery and Frank Rice Center, offers resources and stability to Skid Row individuals connected to our C3 (City, County and Community) outreach team.
On the other side of town, Operation Healthy Streets is The People Concern’s shower and laundry facility located in the Skid Row neighborhood of downtown Los Angeles.
